About Ratchet Arts Designs

Ratchet Arts Designs (RAD) is a Dallas-Fort Worth art studio where fine art meets laser engraving. Sean and Sheri are two artists: one rooted in fine arts, one in digital design, who create handcrafted pieces that are painted, engraved, and built to last. This is not just laser engraving. This is art infused with laser precision, made personal for families, schools, and small businesses across Texas and beyond.

How It Started

Sheri had wanted a laser for years. In December 2024 she made the purchase before the studio was even built. Then came six months of waiting. When the laser was finally set up in the studio, RAD was ready to go. The first event was in Cleburne, Texas. It was a little slow. They made enough to cover the booth fee and not much else. But they sold two pieces that day: a laser engraved tumbler and a custom ornament for a self-described "Chilihead" and walked away knowing they were onto something.

What We Make

At RAD every piece starts as art first. Our hand painted hats and home decor pieces are proof of that — fine art and laser precision combined into something you won't find anywhere else. We also make personalized keepsakes, milestone gifts, school spirit pieces, event decor, and custom artwork for families, schools, and small businesses. What makes ours different is the artistic eye behind every decision. Sheri's fine arts background, Sean's design instincts, and a shared obsession with detail means nothing leaves this studio looking like it came from a template. If it doesn't exist yet, we'll figure it out.

That is what we make here. Ratchet Arts Designs exists to honor the individual in a world where everything else blends in.
