Your design is printed in full color directly onto the patch and applied to the front of the ball cap. UV printing works well for detailed logos, multiple colors, gradients, and artwork that cannot be reproduced through engraving alone.

Which decoration method should I choose?
Choose a laser engraved leatherette patch when you want a clean leather look with a permanent engraved design. It works best for one color logos, names, initials, and artwork with strong lines.
Choose a UV printed patch when your design needs full color, fine detail, gradients, or several colors. The design is printed directly onto the patch instead of engraved.
Choose direct embroidery when you want the design stitched into the ball cap. It is a strong choice for business logos, uniforms, teams, organizations, and traditional branded headwear.
Choose patch only when you already have the item and want to apply the patch yourself._

About the ball caps
These are custom decorated ball caps made for businesses, teams, events, organizations, gifts, and personal use. Your design is placed on the front of the cap using the decoration method you select.
Hat colors may look slightly different in person because screens display color differently. Patch color and embroidered thread color may also vary slightly from the artwork shown on your screen.

Artwork and file requirements
Upload the clearest version of your artwork available.
Preferred files:
- SVG, AI, or EPS for logos and line artwork
- PNG with a transparent background
- PDF with clear artwork
- JPG at high resolution
A print ready or embroidery ready file produces the best result. Small details, thin lines, tiny lettering, gradients, and low resolution images may need to be simplified or adjusted for the selected decoration method.

Design fees
Names, initials, dates, and short phrases do not require a design fee.
Upload print ready artwork and no design fee applies.
If your artwork needs to be created, redrawn, cleaned up, converted, or prepared for production, a $25.00 design fee applies. We will contact you before adding design work that changes the order total.
Personalization details
We engrave exactly what you type. Please double-check your spelling, capitalization, and dates before submitting. We are not responsible for errors submitted by the customer.
We print, engrave, or embroider the artwork you provide. Ratchet Arts Designs is not responsible for poor results caused by low resolution, incomplete, or improperly prepared customer files.
Patch application
Patch only orders are intended for customers who will apply the patch themselves. Application results depend on the item material, equipment, temperature, pressure, and technique used.
